I manufactured you
From the start to stop my heart from falling apart
To keep it from being seen
Keep it from splaying open
A rosebud of black obsidian glass
Cast iron valves and argon lights
Red velvet fumes wafting from its depths
Circulating hollow through conduits
None were meant to see
An elaborate construct glinting in the light
Shiny enough to attract less discerning eyes
From the fact of the matter
I built you as an ideal
An example of how to fill
An attractive vacuum in a bony receptacle
Every breath oxygen-deprived
Breathing methodically in places lights rarely tread
When they do they marvel at the night
And so deceived think of me as I provide evidence
Where the genuine organ is hiding in the corner
Against the spine behind the throat
A mass of twitch and muscle
