I have put the lulz in bold type. We open with one of my questions...
Black Arthur (PRODIGY Member)
I hear Webster is a black belt in karate. Do you know any Martial Arts?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
No, I fence. I have my own equipment and I just started.
Tasty Toffee (PRODIGY Member)
Are you married?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Absolutely not.
Moderator (Speaker)
Very emphatic! : )

Hi Gary! The Kid From Left Field was one of my faves when I was a kid... What was it like to make and how was it hanging out with the Padres?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
It was fun, it was interesting, especially for my first film. We got to go to Jack Murphy Stadium for 10 days, shooting with some of the players wearing the current uniform of the time, I learned a lot about baseball. I had a wonderful time.
Moderator (Speaker)
By the way, yanks rule, the score is Yanks 0, Braves 0...
Black Arthur (PRODIGY Member)
Did you get joked a lot as a young lad about being short?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Not more than anyone else under five feet tall. And only brain dead, mean spirited, shallow idiots respond to me rudely lately.
modernArt (PRODIGY Member)
Were you surprised at how Diffrent Strokes took off? Did you expect to become a household name?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Yes and no, respectively. But I was pleasantly surprised and excited, just like any kid would be, and my lifestyle and livelihood changed from then on.

Now, at age 29 and a 23-year veteran in the entertainment business, Gary has made recent appearances on shows like "Martin," "The Wayans Brothers" and the finale of "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," which reunited Gary with his former co-star Conrad Bains, who played the affable Philip Drummond on "Diff'rent Strokes."

Black Arthur (PRODIGY Member)

Gary Coleman (Speaker)
I would, I'm two feet taller! :g:

Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Great! Let everyone know how much you love me. I appreciate it.
Black Arthur (PRODIGY Member)
Do you score a lot despite being shorter than most men?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
No, I'm always being told I'm cute, I'm handsome, I'm fun, I'm interesting, but I'm still single. And I don't think height has anything to do with it, except maybe that teddy bear cuddle factor.
Tasty Toffee (PRODIGY Member)
I am an aspiring actress...Can you give me some tips on how to start in the business?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Stay in school, learn an excellent trade you can fall back on, in case, for whatever reason, and there are many factors, you don't get your fifteen minutes of fame. You should know, just like nature, there is no vacuum in show business. There are three million plus of us who want the jobs already taken by other aspiring, or famous, entertainers.
Moderator (Speaker)
Gary has also starred in movies like "The Kid With the Broken Halo," "Playing with Fire" opposite Cicely Tyson and Yaphet Kotto, and "The Kid From Left Field" with Robert Guillaume and Gary Collins.

josee2 (PRODIGY Member)
Do you enjoy your bits/staff on Married W/Children?
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Yes, I did. Both times. I think I enjoyed the second time even more.
Tasty Toffee (PRODIGY Member)
What made you start in showbusiness??
Gary Coleman (Speaker)
A cousin of mine was modelling clothes for Montgomery Ward's, there was a little runway set up in a mall to model all four seasons of clothes. I wrote a letter to the coordinator because my cousin made me curious. I thought I'd like to try modelling. The mall manager thought I was cute and talented and should be on TV. He provided a business card to a commercial agent in Chicago where I was living, where I was born. My first commercial was McDonald's Valentine's Day promotion.

Gary Coleman (Speaker)
Generally I am a happy go lucky kind of guy. And because there is enough negativity in the world, and on TV, why should I be? I am happy.
